The Exclusive series from Viaje is a Nicaraguan puro blend crafted allegedly for the owner Andre Farkas’ personal taste. In total, there are now 15 releases since 2009, but the Super Lance was the 13th in May of 2013 with a total production of 8,000 cigars. This Criollo wrapper has a rustic medium brown presentation. The cigar has a bumpy pack and a tightly twisted pig-tail cap to set it off. I came across a near full box of these aged beauties in a vitola that really interested me so I decided to give it a go!

This was a tough cigar to place, but I felt like the Regal class stood out a little better than the Santa Fe. Medium-full bodied flavors of pepper, wood, coffee, and nutty finish balanced so well and really kept me enjoying this cigar. On the first and last third though, this Exclusivo delivered a fantastic spice that I loved.
I unfortunately never got a chance to smoke this cigar fresh, but with nearly 2 years of extra age, it’s smoking beautifully. The construction was top-notch and the flavors were very enjoyable. There were times where this cigar lacked distinction, but it wasn’t that often and for the most part kept me engaged the entire 2 hours. If you come across this cigar or have it resting, its time to smoke!
