Warped continues to expand their portfolio. As early as January Kyle Gellis of Warped has been teasing a different version of the Flor Del Valle, a cigar made from AGANORSA tobacco with partner, Casa Fernández. Today they were finally ready to talk about what is being dubbed the “Sky Flower”.
The Flor Del Valle ‘Sky Flower’ is a 5 5/8 x 48 Grand Corona that utilizes Aganorsa Medio Tiempo leaf. Medio Tiempo (also called the corona leaves of the plant) is a priming that grows above the ligero. Not all tobacco plants will produce this priming and it’s harvesting and processing are time consuming, but the end result is something truly exquisite and unique.
“Medio Tiempo adds a unique depth of complexity that is unseen in any other ligero. These small and rich leaves blend harmoniously with Flor Del Valle and have created a blend that truly stands out from the rest of the Flor Del Valle portfolio,” comments Kyle Gellis.
While Sky Flower is not limited edition, it is limited production, due to the rarity of the medio tiempo.
The blend is almost identical to that of the regular production Flor Del Valle except for the added Media Tiempo. The wrapper is a Nicaraguan Jalapa Corjo ’99, the binder is Nicaraguan with Nicaraguan Corojo ’99 and Criollo ’98 fillers.
The ‘Sky Flower’ will be available in 10 count boxes, SRP is $125.00/box or $12.50 per cigar.
Sky Flower will be debut officially at Corona Cigars in Orlando, FL in a 2 day event that will occur on Friday, April 10th from 5pm-10pm at their Lake Mary location and Saturday, April, 11th from 5pm-10pm at the Sand Lake location.
